Japan is a country that has always been dear to my heart. As a child I was intrigued by everything Japanese. I had the opportunity to live in Japan with my wife Lindsey for two and a half years before we were married and they are some of our happiest memories.
Like many people I’ve watched the recent events on the news in horror. The destruction caused by earthquakes, tsunamis and the continuing threat of nuclear catastrophe has been hard to fathom and heart wrenching to watch. I know this country and their people. I have taught their children and shared meals, holidays and countless good times with them. They are beautiful, thoughtful, caring and resilient people and I count many of them amongst my best friends.
This has all left me feeling like I had to do something in any way I can. I’m humbly offering some prints from my personal collection of Japanese photographs for sale in the hope of contributing in a small way to the relief efforts underway in Japan.
