I’m Jonathan, a wedding photographer based in Hobart, Tasmania.

I’ve been photographing weddings for almost two decades, and what keeps me interested is not trends or spectacle, but people, and how they move through a day that genuinely matters to them.

My approach is calm and considered. I don’t believe great photographs come from directing every moment or interrupting the flow of the day. I prefer to work quietly, paying attention, letting things unfold, and stepping in only when it adds something meaningful.

I’m drawn to weddings that value connection over performance, fun over perfection. The kind where the photographs feel honest and reflective of what it actually felt like to be there.

Many of the couples I work with are planning destination weddings in Tasmania, and I enjoy helping them navigate the process, whether that’s choosing locations, shaping the timeline, or recommending people I trust.
